Artwork Guidelines for Puff Transfers

To ensure your puff transfers print with bold detail and clean dimension, please follow these important guidelines:

Accepted File Type
• We currently only accept high-resolution PNG files with a transparent background.
• Files must be at least 300 DPI to ensure sharp edges and clear detail at print size.
• Use RGB color mode for best color accuracy.

Design Requirements for Puff Effect
• Minimum 2pt positive space (areas that will be printed)
• Minimum 4pt negative space (areas that will not print)
These spacing rules help preserve your design’s shape and allow the puff to form properly during curing.

Fine Detail & Legibility
Avoid ultra-thin lines or tight gaps that may close up during production. Our Preflight Team will review your file and may suggest adjustments if needed.

Fonts & Text
All text should be rasterized before saving as PNG. Avoid small or overly thin fonts that may distort with the puff effect.

Copyright Notice
We cannot print copyrighted or licensed images without proof of ownership or commission. Supporting documentation may be requested.

Application Instructions

For best results, apply using a commercial-grade heat press:
• Time: 7 seconds
• Temperature: 325°F
• Pressure: Heavy/Max (60 PSI or 8–9 pressure setting)
• Peel: Hot peel immediately after pressing

Recommended Fabrics

Puff transfers work reliably on 100% cotton and cotton-polyester blends.
If you’re working with a fabric outside these types, we recommend testing a sample to ensure compatibility before full production.

Sizing Chart

When enlarging or shrinking, we recommend preserving the proportional ratio of the original image. (For example, resizing an image from 12x9 to 12x12 will cause it to appear stretched.) If the width is larger than the height, the width is treated as the longest side. If the height is larger than the width, the height is treated as the longest side.

We stand by the quality of our products. If your order arrives defective, we’ll replace the item free of charge within 30 days of delivery. This guarantee applies to the merchandise total only. We are not responsible for any damages or losses related to the items our products are applied to.
