    Description

    Wholesale Custom DTF Transfers are printed on gang sheets that range from 22" x 12" to 22" x 240". Images can be full-color graphics including, full-color photos, gradients/ombres, and effects.

    DTF transfers also print using white ink. Our bulk/wholesale custom iron-on DTF transfer gang sheets are printed on high-quality transfer film using durable prints that resist cracking. 

    Direct-to-film (DTF) transfers are full-color heat-applied transfers for light and dark garments. No weeding or masking is required and DTF transfers can be applied to cotton, cotton/poly blends, and even 100% polyester. (Nylons are not recommended due to the smooth texture. The adhesive needs to be able to bind to the fibers of the garment.)

    Simply press and go! All you need is a heat press!

    IMAGE REQUIREMENTS (VERY IMPORTANT!)

    ARTWORK MUST BE PRINT-READY.

    Please do not submit mirrored images. Our machine software will take care of this automatically.  Make sure the artwork dimensions are exact. We will not resize your artwork.

    300 DPI resolution is highly recommended for the best quality. Images should be in PNG file format which has a transparent background. DTF printers use white ink so white backgrounds will be printed, if present. 

    COPYRIGHT & CONTENT RESTRICTIONS

    Trademarked images (NFL, Disney, fashion brands, etc), Screenshots, and watermarked images will NOT be accepted. (Orders submitted with these items WILL NOT be printed and any refunds requested will only be issued in the form of STORE CREDIT ONLY.)

    IMPORTANT COLOR GUIDANCE

    Our printers operate in CMYK, not RGB.

    Fluorescent/neon colors are out of gamut and cannot be reproduced accurately. The printer will automatically convert them to the closest in-gamut CMYK color.

    ➡️ Highly recommended: Adjust fluorescent/neon colors before sending your file to avoid unexpected results.


    AVOID TRANSPARENCY EFFECTS

    Please avoid:

    • Drop shadows
    • Glows
    • Light flares
    • Semi-transparent elements
    • Layers below 80% opacity

    These elements may not fully transfer off the film.

    Sizing Chart

    When enlarging or shrinking we recommend preserving the proportional ratio of the original image. (ie. If you resize an image from 12x9 to 12x12, the image will appear stretched out.)If the width is larger than the height, the width is treated as the longest side. If the height is larger than the width, the height is treated as the longest side.

    Our DTF transfers are printed in-house by our own staff with love and care on a high-speed, large format machine. All of our DTF products are typically produced and shipped from our facility within 24 hours (excluding weekends and holidays).  

    Shipping/transit times selected at checkout apply once your order has shipped.

    - In case your order includes not only DTF transfers but other products, all items will be shipped together, once printing process is completed, and with all other products. If you need other products in advance of print completion, please order those products separately.

    DTF Transfer Paper Application Instructions

    Step 1

    If present, please trim off any color registration strips and order id information from around your image, using scissors. These will transfer to the garment if not removed.

    Preheat the garment for 3-5 seconds to remove excess moisture. Let the garment cool before adding the transfer.

    Place the transfer on the shirt - white side down, image facing up.

    Press at 300F for 15 seconds under very firm pressure.

    Cold peel. Wait for the carrier sheet to cool completely before peeling.

    Cover the image with parchment paper and finally press again for 5 seconds. You can use a Teflon sheet, butcher paper, or tissue paper.

    What is the minimum line thickness?

    All DTF products should have a minimum line thickness of 0.018" (which is 5 pixels at 300ppi) for best results, ensuring high-quality, durable prints with sharp edges and intricate details.

    What is the minimum number of gang sheets I need order?

    No Minimums! Whether you need 1 or 1,000 we can do it! This flexibility makes our custom DTF transfers perfect for small sample packs or large bulk orders.

    My order did not ship within the turnaround time.

    We do our best to adhere to our advertised turnaround period, including staying after hours when necessary. Sometimes prints are completed on the final business day but after shipping carriers have picked up for the day. If your order has not shipped, please check for an email from dtf {at} atlantavinylstore.com to ensure your order is not on hold for a processing issue. These emails typically go out within 24 hours of your order being placed if an issue is found. If you're in a hurry, consider our rush service for a quick turnaround time.

    What material can DTF transfers be applied to?

    Nearly any material, including cotton, polyester, and poly/tri-blends. DTF heat transfers are also great for custom apparel like tote bags, t-shirts, and hoodies, thanks to their ability to adhere to various surfaces.

    What is considered a business day for DTF at Atlanta Vinyl?

    The day an order is placed is not Day 1. A full business day must elapse to be considered a business day. Atlanta Vinyl's DTF department prints Monday through Friday and does not print on Saturday or Sunday. Example: For the stated turnaround time of 1-2 business days, an order placed on Monday will be completed on or before Wednesday. An order placed on Wednesday will be completed on or before Friday. An order placed on Friday will be completed on or before Tuesday.

    I paid for Next Day/2 Day/3 Day shipping and did not receive my order in that time frame.

    Expedited shipping does not mean expedited printing. Your selected shipping method will be used once your prints are finished processing. We offer separate rush printing services at an additional fee for your convenience, ensuring the fastest printing technique available for your needs.

    My order is very small; will it print/ship faster?

    All orders are processed in the order in which they are received. We offer rush services for an additional fee for your convenience which way to ensure priority printing.

    Can you print neon or fluorescent colors with DTF?

    Neon or fluorescent colors are considered out of gamut and cannot be accurately reproduced using our DTF printing process. This includes colors like neon green, neon yellow, and especially neon purple, which is often difficult to identify and render properly.

    If your design includes neon purple, we strongly recommend substituting it with hex code #4F3393. This is the closest in-gamut alternative and is generally perceived as a reasonable visual match in most applications.
